Phyllis “LaRue” York, 76, of Benton, KY passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2020.
Phyllis was born on May 3, 1943 to the late Howard and Jewell Vick Redden. In her free time, Phyllis enjoyed sewing, writing stories, and loved singing at church and for special events. She was a member of Union Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Harold York; two daughters, Cheryl York of Benton, KY, and Carla Lemmons and husband Richard of Paragould, AR; one sister, Verna Brewer of Benton, KY; two grandchildren, Jason Lemmons and Lauren Lemmons; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Ian Lemmons; and her parents.
