Karen Farmer Fulks, 70, of Benton, KY passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at her residence.
Karen was born in Paducah, KY on November 20, 1949 to the late Solon and Frances Anderson Farmer. Karen was a medical transcriptionist and taught ceramics. She was an avid reader and very artistic. She loved to paint and adored her dog “Buddy”.
She is survived by one daughter, Jessica Chiera and husband Frank of Valatie, NY; three sisters, Vickie Sigler of Benton, KY, Bonnie Irwin of Monticello, KY , and Debbie Farmer of Calvert City, KY; two grandchildren, Jarid Chiera and Felicia Chiera; and her significant other, Sam Dowdy.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, David Fulks; her brother, Butch Farmer; and her parents.
In compliance with health and public safety directives, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Marshall County Humane Society, 6301 US HWY 68, Benton, KY 42025.
