Leonard Smith, 71, of Benton, KY passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Leonard was born on August 17, 1948 to the late Fred and Lourine Nichols Smith in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He worked as a welder for Whiting Corporation in Harvey, Illinois. Leonard enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and classic cars. He attended St Matthew By the Lake Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ruth Schultz Smith; one daughter, Stacy Shaw of Alabama and one grand daughter, Candace Smith; and one step-daughter, Julie Latsko of Chicago and her daughters Cecilia and Loulou.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Dish.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at St Matthew By the Lake Lutheran Church at 3:00 p.m.
