Louis W. Milam, age 92, of Paducah, KY passed away at 3:39 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at his home. Louis was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah and was a native of Detroit, MI.
Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as an Accountant from Media General. He enjoyed woodworking, building furniture and toys for his grandchildren. Louis loved working with his hands. In addition to building things, he loved to paint landscapes and seascapes, and shared those items… with his family. Louis and Jo Ann loved traveling in the United States as well as Europe, Ireland, France, Hawaii and many other places.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jo Ann Grissom Milam; two sons, Daniel B. Milam and wife, Brenda of Paducah and David N. Milam and wife, Mary of Bartlett, TN; one sister, Carol Ann Dunn and husband, Bill of Summerville, FL; one brother, Jerry Milam and wife, June of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Ben Milam and wife, Hannah, and Rebekah Milam; three great-grandchildren, Westin Milam, Wyatt Milam and Wade Milam; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents, Louis W. Milam Sr. & Julia Pearl Burton Milam; two sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Brook Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
