PADUCAH – The Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center is thrilled to announce the fourth season of the Myre Series. The Myre Series was established in memory of Jane Carson Myre and in honor of Dr. Louis D. Myre, who were instrumental in the development of the Carson Center. Dr. and Mrs. Myre loved all people, were benefactors for many, devout Christians, and ambassadors for Jesus Christ. We trust that this performance series will again interest and inspire your mind and spirit.
The 2015-2016 Myre Series includes these four performances, all of which start at 3 p.m. on Sundays:
October 18, 2015, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and The Booth Brothers
Ernie Haase & Signature Sound (EHSS) – a Southern Gospel quartet with high-energy harmonies– returns to the Carson Center stage. The quartet will be joined by The Booth Brothers, a powerhouse Southern Gospel trio. The Gospel Music Association has honored EHSS with Dove Awards for outstanding achievements and excellence in Gospel music. The quartet’s “Dream On” was nominated for a GRAMMY® Award in the Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album category. EHSS recorded its “Get Away Jordan” project at the Carson Center. “Oh What a Saviour” is another hit song and album title for this versatile quartet. Each EHSS member is a vocal star in his own right. Together, they deliver lively and uplifting concerts to appreciative audiences. Before starting EHSS, Haase was part of the famous Cathedrals quartet and Gaither Homecoming Tour. Ronnie Booth, Michael Both, and Paul Lancaster of The Booth Brothers likewise are committed to musical excellence and to affecting the hearts of those listening. Refreshing humor, inspiring songs, and encouraging words are embedded in every concert. This trio has been acknowledged as one of the finest in the business. The Booth Brothers are Dove nominees and winners of many Singing News Fan Awards. Sponsored by Byrn Funeral Home

June 5, 2016, Jeanne Robertson
This former Miss North Carolina specializes in positive and hilarious humor based on her life experiences – including her beloved husband, “Left Brain.” Her 2013 performance at the Carson Center nearly sold out. Her humorous storytelling still keeps audiences laughing after her 50 years as a comedian in theatres and on radio. Miss Robertson’s prestigious public speaking awards include the Cavett Award and Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel Award. “Jeanne Robertson is like the aunt you can’t wait to talk to at the family reunion, who always has a new story to tell that keeps the whole family in stitches,” says Thom O’Neil of The Carlisle Theater in Pennsylvania.
