Van Stephen Dailey, age 72, formerly of Anchorage, Alaska and Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Big Sandy, Tennessee.
Van was born on December 23, 1946 in Marshall County to the late James and Rebecca Slaughter Dailey. The family moved to Paducah shortly after his birth. He lived and worked in Alaska for 40 years building ice roads. Van was a member of the Benton Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by four sisters; one brother; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lois Evelyn Peoples Dailey and his parents.
A graveside service for Van will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Marshall County Memory Gardens with Ed Jones officiating.
