Mr. James “Jimmy” Garland Wilson, Sr., 61 of Calvert City, KY died on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was a retired Chef for the Executive Inn, Paducah, KY.
Born Friday, November 15, 1957 in Joliet, Illinois, he was the son of the late Jessie J. Wilson Sr. and the late Mildred (Darnell) Wilson.
Surviving are son, James “Jim” Wilson, Jr., wife Kayla of Grand Rivers, KY, daughter, Carrie Rains, husband Johnny of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Jessica York, Colton Rains, Tyler Blakley, Jesse Rains, Paige Hamby, Jacob Rains, great-grandchildren, Braxton York, Jackson York, sister, Kathy Jane Peck of Gulf Shores, AL, and his favorite niece, Kayla Peck.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 42 years, Carolyn J. (Payne) Wilson.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Fairdealing Cemetery, Craig Manley officiating.
No public visitation will be held.
