Mr. Sam Mathis, age 55, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, November 1, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Mathis was born on October 24, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a mechanic and owner and operator of Mathis Transmission for 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Mathis; as well as his sister, Vicki Kruse.
Survivors include his daughter, Madison “Mattie” McGehee of Lansing, Michigan; mother, Joyce Burwell Mathis of Chicago, Illinois; as well as his partner, Robin Perkins of Murray, Kentucky.
A celebration of life will take place at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Irvin Cobb Resort Pavilion. The family is requesting that casual dress be worn.
