Mr. Louis Eugene “Boy” Bohanon, age 93 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, November 1, 2019, at Stone Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah, KY. 

Born Monday, March 15, 1926 in Lyon County, KY, he was the son of the late Julian Bohanon and the late Mary (Stringer) Bohanon. He was retired from Air Products in Calvert City where he was a Maintenance Mechanic. He honorably served in the United States Army. He was a four wheeling papaw and of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are his daughter, Becky Canup, husband Charlie of Benton, KY; son, Philip Bohanon, wife Inga of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Kevin Bohanon, wife Misty, Josh Canup, wife Brittany, Justin Canup, wife Emily, Chase Canup, wife Kayla, great-grandchildren, Ava Canup, Charleigh Fay Canup and Nora Canup.Two special friends, Larry Powell and Ann Stovall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 74 years, Martha Rebecca (Riley) Bohanon, sisters, Myra Jean Henson and Zelma Marie Burch, and grandson, Mitchell Bohanon.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Bro. Charlie Canup will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
