Martha Jane Wilson Beckham, age 92, of Melber, KY passed away at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at her home. Martha was a member of Pottsville Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, flowers and being a farmer’s wife. Martha was an original member of the Bread of Life Humanitarian Effort Quilters.
Survivors include one daughter, Wilda Ann Beckham Oliver of Melber, KY; one son, James Owen Beckham of Boaz, KY; five grandchildren, Erin Ann Oliver Cheng and husband,… Benedict of Nashville, TN, James P. Oliver and wife, Ronza of Paducah, KY, Richard Todd Oliver and wife, Lynda of Boaz, KY and Melissa Beckham Born of Louisville, KY; six great-grandchildren, Rosalie Oliver, Everett Oliver, Austin Oliver, Andrew Oliver, Kemper Born and Lawson Born; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding in death was her husband of 68 years, Charles O. Beckham; parents, James E. & Carrie Griffith Wilson; son-in-law, Hulan Oliver; one sister, Hazel F. Wilson Jones; three brothers, J.W. Wilson, Robert Herschel Wilson and George E. Wilson; two nieces, Freida Fay Wilson Johnson, Pamela Wilson Jones; two nephews, Jerrel Wayne Wilson and Leslie H. “Bud” Beckham.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Mike Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Pottsville Church of Christ Cemetery in Pottsville, KY. Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
