Mrs. Sandra Dexter, age 72 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was a loyal supporter of the Gilbertsville Fire Department and was a member of Gilbertsville First Baptist Church. She loved watching her granddaughter play volleyball and fishing with her grandson.
Born Friday, May 16, 1947 in Calvert City, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Devine and the late Mavis (Morefield) Devine.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, James M. “Jim” Dexter of Gilbertsville, KY, son, Jamie Dexter of Gilbertsville, KY, daughter, Tonya Joiner, husband Billy of Gilbertsville, KY, brother, Donnie Devine, wife Martha of Calvert City, KY, and sister-in-law, Martha Devine of Calvert City, KY.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Devine.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Earl Cathy, Rev. Johnnie Davis, and Rev. Darrell Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5;00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home.
