James A. “Jimmy” O’Nan, age 71, of Paducah passed away at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his home.

Jimmy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Duke of Paducah. He retired from Coca-Cola as a distribution supervisor and retired from USEC as an escort. His hobbies included playing golf, fishing and was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan. Jimmy spent many hours with his dog “Buddy” that he considered family. Jimmy was an avid Coca-Cola collector for many years and talking to those who were collectors.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Diania Stroup O’Nan; two daughters, Angel Marie O’Nan of Paducah and Michelle Lynne (Mark) Grisham of Waterloo, IL; three grandchildren, Blake Anthony Grisham, Makenzie Dianne O’Nan and Taylor Ann Grisham; five sisters, Barbara (Kelly) Robinson, Ann Criswell, Jane Manning, Mary Ellen Brooking (Frank) and Victoria O’Nan; three brothers, Albert (Delores) O’Nan, Richard O’Nan and Johnny (Lena) O’Nan; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death were his parents; William Pendleton O’Nan & Frances Rose Wurth O’Nan; one brother, William O’Nan.

Services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce Fogle officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with prayers to be held at 5:00 p.m.
