Mrs. Norma Dean Watkins, 83 of Benton, KY died on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 46 years. She was a graduate of Bethel Baptist College, Hopkinsville, KY.
Born Thursday, December 19, 1935 in Marshall Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Roy Phelps and the late Elsie Oina (Reeves) Phelps.
Surviving are sons, Hal Mitchell Watkins of Lyons, IL, Todd Morgan Watkins, wife Juli of Benton, KY; and 2 grandchildren, Drake and Draven Watkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn “Blu” Watkins and brother, Billy Eugene Phelps.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Scott Penick officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
