David Kapales, age 72, of Benton, KY, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at his residence in Benton, KY. Mr. Kapales was a retired riverboat pilot for Artco.
He was the son of the late William Leo Kapales and the late Julia Ernestine (Sheldon) Kapales. He was also preceded in death by his son: Kenny Jones; son in law: Brent Martin; brother: Bill Kapales; and sister: Sara Lee French.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Susan (Reichert) Kapales; daughters: Julie Jones and husband Eddie of Portia, AR, Emily Martin and Fiance’ Chris Wiles of Gilbertsville, KY, Amanda Henson and husband Randy of Calvert City, KY; sister: Bertha Ann Graham of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren: Drew Ponder, Megan Jones and wife Limor, Olivia Bucher, Kash Henson, Trip Henson, Jannie Wiles, Jarrett Wiles, and Jacob Wiles.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. There will be no services scheduled for Mr. Kapales.
