Losing streak ends for Eagles in win over CCA

Christian Fellowship boy’s played their Homecoming game Saturday against Fulton City falling 85-65, then Monday against Community Christian broke their 11-game losing streak in a 49-46 win.

Saturday against Fulton City, CFS was led in scoring by Mikey Bivin and Andrew Allen, each with 13 points. Amire Hobbs led Fulton City in the win with 22 points. Fulton City took charge from the start, leading 23-15 in the first quarter, led by 14 points at halftime and went on to out-score CFS 40-34 in the second half.

In a close game with CCA Monday, the Eagles led by three points after the first quarter but trailed by two points at halftime. CFS out-scored CCA 15-8 in the third quarter and held on to win by three at 49-46. Bivin led with 13 points in the win.

The Lady Eagles fell to CCA 43-33 before the boys took the floor. CFS beat CCA on Dec. 29 by 15 points in the Lady Warrior Shootout and the two teams will meet again of Feb. 1 at Community Christian. Gracie Howard led with 18 points.
