KSP Arrests Marshall County Resident for Stealing Vehicle

Grand Rivers, KY (September 15, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call from the Livingston County Dispatch about a frantic women knocking on doors in the Grand Rivers community on September 14, 2018 at approximately 00:28 a.m. A short time later, KSP located the vehicle described by callers parked and running on
Forrest Road and Loretta D. Sims, 39 of Benton, KY. was found in the lobby of a nearby hotel. Sims appeared to be under the influence and admitted to smoking meth.

Sims told KSP that she had left a residence and found an unlocked car with the keys still in the ignition. Sims took the car without the owner’s permission and fled the area. Sim’s was arrested and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking – Auto $500 or more but under $10,000, DUI 1st offense, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with an Expired Operators License. Sim’s was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
