Sarah M. Nimmo, 93, of Benton, Kentucky passed away at 5:30AM Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Sarah was a member of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Mary David of Benton, KY and Willie Nimmo of Benton, KY; six grandchildren, Elisa David of Benton, KY; Patricia Tate of Chicago, IL; Angela Bronson of Benton, KY; Mitchell David of Benton, KY; Kayla York of Paducah, KY and Ken Thompson of Benton, KY; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wavel Nimmo; one daughter, Judy Thorn; seven siblings, Bill West, R.D. “Toby” West, James West, George West, Ebda Sue Cope, Mattie Ford and Margaret Cunningham. Her parents were Terrell West and Daisey Harrell West.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bro. Max Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in the Haymes Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
