FRANKFORT, KY (AP) – Kentucky likely won’t have a health secretary anytime soon, but Governor Bevin’s administration says that’s okay.
The governor’s office yesterday said that there are no plans to replace Vickie Yates Brown Glisson as of yet.
But the Bevin team says that shouldn’t impact Kentucky’s march toward a work requirement for Medicaid.
The governor’s office yesterday said Brown Glisson was always brought in to get the waiver, not implement it.
Additionally, Governor Bevin says he got rid of the state’s adoption czar to save money.
The governor yesterday explained that he ended the 240-thousand-dollar-a-year job for Daniel Dumas because it wasn’t worth the cost of keeping Dumas on the job.
The governor has said in the past that Dumas did a great job.
The state paid Dumas 60-thousand-dollars to end his contract.
