
Mr. James Earl King, 77 of Symsonia, died on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He worked as a self-employed truck driver and pipefitter. He was a 50-plus year member of Symsonia Masonic Lodge 917.
Born Tuesday, June 18, 1940 in Graves County, he was the son of the late Rudy Lee King and the late Dorothy Mae (Swatzell) King.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Faye (Edwards) King of Symsonia; son, Johnny King, wife Jeanna of Mayfield; daughter, Amanda Faye Jameson, husband Tim of Sharpe; sisters, Betty Rogers, Barbara Trogmorton and Judy Hill, all of Lone Oak; and three grandchildren, Colton King, Rachel King and Kaden Jameson.
A Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Tye Barnett officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in the Fooks Cemetery.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Fooks Cemetery Fund or the Masonic Lodge 917 Symsonia KY.
