Deputies respond to burglaries, open investigations

Marshall County Sheriff’s report, Oct. 4, 2017:

Deputy Chris Greenfield responded on Monday, Oct. 2 to a call about a man slumped over his steering wheel in the parking lot of Benton Dollar General. Upon arrival, Greenfield observed Troy D. Thompson, 52, of Calvert City allegedly slumped over the wheel with the car running. A field sobriety test indicated Thompson was under the influence. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

For the week of Sept. 25 through Oct. 1 the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to 369 calls for service, including the following:
