Sheriff’s department investigates counterfeit money case

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is searching for leads into an alleged counterfeit money case.

According to MCSD, an unidentified man on Sunday, Oct. 1, purchased a Green Dot card from the Dollar General Store in Draffenville. The card, valued at $520, was allegedly paid for with counterfeit $20 bills.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information on the identity of the man pictured wanted for questioning may call Deputy Jason Ivey at 270-527-3112.
