Residents, Benton City Council members and Community Financial Services Bank staff gathered Thursday in H.H. Lovett Park to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on a new nine-hole disc golf course at the park. The course, sponsored in its entirety by CFSB and designed by HB Clark, will include a practice green and course sign. Total estimates on the course construction were about $10,000.

Each “hole” is par three, and the course covers about 2,355 feet from Hole 1 through course end. The course begins near the Joe Creason Community Center and extending past the softball fields before working toward the treeline behind the city pool and concluding near course start.
