Marshall County Adult Education hosted its annual GED Graduation Friday, June 16 at the Marshall County Extension Office to honor all of the county’s GED recipients from throughout the year. Friends, family and community members came out to support and celebrate the 17 graduates in attendance.
They were awarded with a certificate of achievement and a legislative citation, courtesy of Rep. Will Coursey.
So, far 26 people have received their GED this year in our county. Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Byars spoke to the graduates about the road to success and encouraged recipients in future endeavors. Many have already started college classes and/or are moving into a career pathway.
