
The Marshall County Trap Team just completed their second season of competition along with 12 other teams across the state of Kentucky. The Marshall County shooters finished fourth in Class A Conference 3 behind Todd County Central in first, Scott County second and Jessamine County in third after five weeks of competition.
Practices began March 19th with the first week of competition starting April 9th at Moore’s Hunting Preserve. Over the five weeks of competition, three team members achieved 25 and 50 straight club member status, hitting 25 targets in a round or 50 straight in two rounds.

Following the final week of competition, Travis Corsey, Gabby Davis and Kinsey Story finished in the top ten in the conference in the 2017 Spring Season. Corsey finished 6th with a season average of 23.50 and Davis finished 2nd in the top 10 with an average of 20.60.
Among all conferences in the state, Corsey finished 13th in the top 25. Hart County’s Conner Richardson finished 1st in the state with an overall season average of 24.80.
Members of the team will compete in the State Tournament June 10th at the Central Kentucky Gun Club in Berea.
