
A Paducah man was arrested Sunday after leading police on a chase through McCracken and Marshall counties.
According to a release from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department, Cory Henson, 30, of Paducah was arrested after officers attempted a traffic stop Sunday night on Oaks Road in McCracken County and he refused to stop his 2004 Jeep Cherokee. Henson allegedly continued driving into Symsonia, disregarding a stop sign at the intersection of Ky. Highway 348 and Ky. Hwy 131. Henson allegedly turned onto Wadesboro Road and continued into Marshall County, driving until the car ran out of gas near a home on the 5000 block of Wadesboro Road.
Police say Henson then exited the vehicle while it was still in motion and fled on foot. He was apprehended after a short pursuit without further incident. Police allegedly found a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue in the area where Henson fled.
Kentucky State Police also arrested Mallory Langston, 31, of Paducah, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Henson faces charges of warrant of arrest for third-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking under $300; speeding 26 mph or more; reckless driving; first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle); aggravated operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, first offense; no registration plates; no registration receipt; failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first offense; failure to register transfer of a vehicle; second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot); first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; improper passing (four counts); disregarding a stop sign; and license not in possession.
