
A Monday traffic stop yielded a drug arrest for Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies.
According to MCSD reports, Deputy Chris Greenfield conducted a traffic stop about 9:58 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 68 East. The passenger in the vehicle allegedly gave a false name and identifying information. Sheriff’s reports say Greenfield knew the passenger from a previous arrest and was aware the information was untrue.
Randall Bond, 21, of Benton, was arrested at the scene and charged on suspicion of possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and giving an officer a false name or address.
Bond was also served three warrants stemming from Marshall and McCracken counties.

An Indiana man was arrested Tuesday following a disturbance on Lakeview Church Road.
Capt. Brett Edwards and Maj. David Maddox responded to a report of a disturbance Tuesday. Upon investigation, officers discovered one of those allegedly involved in the disturbance had an arrest warrant. Further investigation allegedly revealed Daniel M. Farris, 32, of Evansville, Ind., was wanted on a bench warrant under suspicion of theft by unlawful taking, over $500.
Farris was arrested and taken to Marshall County Detention Center.
