Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrest report April 24, 2017

  • Laura Jean Thurman, 49, of Benton, was arrested and charged with DUI first offense and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center. About 9:44 p.m., April 21, Deputy William Strader responded to U.S. 68 West in reference to a traffic crash. Investigation revealed that Thurman, identified as the driver, was allegedly under the influence.
  • Ashley A. Pyles, 31, of Paducah was arrested and charged with DUI and no operator’s license after Capt. Brett Edwards responded on April 24 to a traffic crash in Draffenville. According to the arrest citation, Pyles swerved into another vehicle. She was taken to Marshall County Detention Center.
  • Mark A. Folwell, 42, of Hardin was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault. Deputy William Strader responded about 6 a.m. April 24 to a residence in Hardin to speak to an assault victim. Folwell was taken to Marshall County Detention Center, upon further investigation.
  • Tyler Jacob Smith, 20, of Benton, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and buy/possession of drug paraphernalia. About 11:20 p.m., Sgt. Tim Reynolds responded to a residence on U.S. Highway 68 East. Investigation revealed Smith allegedly choked the victim. He was taken to Marshall County Detention Center.
