Roland Eugene Baxter, 60, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away at 5:45 .m. Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home.
Roland was a retired member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America Local No. 1214 in Paducah. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Michele Evans Baxter of Gilbertsville; two daughters, April Dawn Baxter and Wendy Michele Baxter both of Benton; three brothers, Ross Baxter of Morgantown, Roy Baxter of Bowling Green and Ronnie Baxter of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Roy G. Baxter and Wanda Wade Baxter.
A Celebration of Life for Roland will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Greg Baxter will officiate with military rites to follow the service at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
