Ms. Doris Brown, age 90 of Murray, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Anna Mae Owen Hospice Center in Murray. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher and was a member of the Church of Christ. Born Friday, March 4, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Ernest A. Brown and the late Eldora (Heusner) Brown. She is survived by a niece, Caroline Blayr and nephew, Peter Brown of Falls Church, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dale Brown, and sister, Ester B. Comstock. A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Dr. Gary Boggess officiating. Private burial will follow at a later date in Walnut Grove Church of Christ Cemetery, Benton. No visitation is scheduled.
