On April 14 at approximately 1:22am, Deputy Dan Melone conducted a traffic stop on Purchase Parkway of a vehicle traveling at approximately 90 miles per hour. After the ensuing investigation, Deputy Melone placed the driver, Aaron Russell Wilkinson age 43 of Murray, under arrest. The suspect was charged with DUI and with Speeding 90 in a 70mph zone.
On 4-16-2017 at approximately 9:39pm, Deputies Josh Anderson, Chris Greenfield and Luke Rudd were dispatched to a suspicious person walking in the road on US 641 south of Kentucky Dam. Prior to the Deputies arrival another call was received of a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle. The ensuing investigation revealed that Teresa G. Gorham age 50 of Mayfield was northbound on US 641 when she reports that a man was walking in the middle of her lane. She did not see him due to his dark clothing and was unable to swerve and avoid impact due to oncoming traffic. Deputy Greenfield reports that he detected a strong smell of alcoholic beverages on the person of the man struck. The pedestrian was identified as Kenneth E. Pinnegar age 49 of Paducah. Pinnegar was transported by Marshall County EMS.
On April 14th, Deputy Luke Rudd was dispatched to a single vehicle crash at Waller Cemetery Road and Wadesboro Road North. According to a citation filed by Deputy Rudd, Garry O Gordon age 67 of Benton was traveling on Wadesboro Road North and went off of the road into a ditch. Deputy Rudd’s investigation resulted in the arrest of Gordon on the following charges:
Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence ALC/Drugs/ Etc .08 2nd Offense
Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle
Failure to Produce Insurance Card
Gordon was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On April 15th, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to the area of McDonalds in Draffenville in reference to a possibly intoxicated driver. Deputy Greenfield located the vehicle and conducted an investigation. As a result, the driver Crystal Gail Gregory, age 33 of Mayfield was arrested and charged with the following:
Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence ALC/Drugs/Etc .08 1st Offense
Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree
Receiving Stolen Property
Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
Deputy Greenfield found a weapon in the suspects purse that was found to have been reported stolen in Paducah.
She was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On April 16th at 6:25am, Deputy Josh Anderson was dispatched to Five Star in Draffenville in reference to an individual passed out in his vehicle. Deputy Anderson found the subject slumped over the wheel of the vehicle and he appeared to be intoxicated. The continued investigation resulted in the arrest of Jimmy Richard Hawkins Jr age 43 of Kuttawa. Deputy Josh Anderson found smoking pipes with what appeared to be methamphetamine, several baggies with residue, digital scales, and a sticker on the suspects license plate that was from a different vehicle. Hawkins was charged with the following:
