Marshall County Sheriff’s Report March 21st, 2017

On 3-18 at 8:33pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to KY 80 in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon speaking to one of the operators, Dustin Frazier age 24 of Herndon, was asked that he perform standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. After he was placed under arrest for DUI, Deputy Greenfield located controlled substances on the suspects person. Frazier was charged with Operating Motor Vehicle U/Influence of ALC/Drugs/Etc .08 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree – Methamphetamine, No Operators License, Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Poss, and Failure of Non Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance.

On March 19th at approximately 11:34pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield observed a vehicle weaving on west 5th Street. The driver, although not intoxicated, was shown to have a DUI Suspended Operators License. The driver, Derek J. Baier age 26 of Benton was arrested and charged with Driving on DUI Suspended OL and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

On March 18 at 11:35pm, Deputy Luke Rudd was dispatched to Houser Road in reference to a single vehicle crash. Investigation resulted in Deputy Rudd discovering that the driver, Lacey Crowder age 32 of Benton, had been drinking shots of an alcoholic beverage and also discovered marijuana which Crowder admitted was hers. The investigation revealed that the vehicle was travelling southbound on Houser Road when the vehicle went off of the roadway and overturned several times. Deputy Rudd lodged Crowder in the Marshall County Detention Center on charges of DUI and Possession of Marijuana.

On March 17 Deputy Greenfield observed a vehicle on Mayfield Highway crossing the fog line and center line. Deputy Greenfield conducted a traffic stop and charged the driver, Carla H. Riley age 52 of Gilbertsville with Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence ALC/Drugs/Etc .08 Aggravating Circumstances 1st Offense and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle.

On March 17 / 18 Deputy Chris Greenfield received information that began an investigation into drug activity on Briensburg Tatumsville Road. As a result of the investigation a search warrant was issued for a residence and resulted in the arrest of Christina M. Dubbles age 30 of Paducah on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense – Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess. Chas S. Gipson age 25 of Paducah was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Poss. Leslie R. Powell age 30 of Benton was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess.
