The intersection of KY 402 and KY 1824 is expected to be closed for at least two more hours. Deputy Steven Oakley and Sheriff Kevin Byars responded to a crash with injuries at that location this morning. According to the report filed by Deputy Oakley, a vehicle driven by Tracy Scarborough age 50 of Dexter was southbound on KY 1824. A vehicle driven by Tina Mitchuson age 42 of Hardin was northbound. The Scarborough vehicle topped a hill crest and was in the oncoming lane. Mitchuson pulled to the side of the road to allow the vehicle by but was struck in the driver’s door. The Scarborough vehicle continued hitting a mailbox, utility pole, and sign before coming to rest. Scarborough, Mitchuson, and a passenger, Bradford Ray of Murray were all transported by EMS to Marshall County Hospital. The intersection was closed due to power lines and a pole being down. Crews are on site at this time repairing the lines and pole. Marshall County EMS and Hardin South Marshall Fire Department assisted at the scene.
