
BARDWELL – Led by Aaron Reed’s 20 points and Dylan Walters with 19, the Marshals handed the Comets a 96-52 loss Tuesday at Carlisle County. A much closer game in the first quarter and three minutes into the second quarter, the Marshals were up by four points then stretched it out to seven following a 3-pointer by Matthew French. The Marshals went on to outscore Carlisle county 16 to 8 to close out the first half leading 43-28 on five straight points by Houston Harvey.
The Marshals scored 12 unanswered points, five from Harvey who hit his fourth 3-pointer, to start the second half to amass a 55-28 lead. Late in the quarter, two straight baskets from Walters put the Marshals up by 38 points ending the quarter on two free throws by Grant Wilson for a 76-40 lead heading into the fourth.
Players off the bench combined for 20 fourth quarter points for the Marshals on their way to their third win of the season. In earlier games, the freshman and JV teams both picked up wins. The Marshals will play at McCracken County on Friday in a double-header with the Lady Marshals.
