Mr. Melvin D. Garbark, age 86 of Benton, KY passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home. Born Saturday, January 18, 1930 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Roman B. Garbark and the late Tillie (Coskey) Garbark. He was an Artist and advertising studio owner at UVG&N. His interests included traveling, photography and painting wildlife. He honorably served his country in the Army. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Aurora, KY. Surviving are son, Robert Barton Garbark of Kansas City, MO, daughters, Gale Ann (Tim) Dillon of Benton, KY and Cheryl Lee (Kevin) Foley of Bartlett, IL, grandson, Eric (Jessica) Sea of Cape Girardeau, MO, great-grandchildren, Isabel and Austin Sea, both of Cape Girardeau, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roman F. Garbark, and his sister, LaVergne Schwartz. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, 16097 HWY 68E Aurora, KY, with the Father Greg Trawick officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at St. Henry Catholic Church, 16097 HWY 68E, Aurora, KY
