Gas prices continue to dip across the Lakes Area

Average retail gasoline prices in Kentucky have fallen 1.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.97 a gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy.

This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.13 gallon.

Including the change in gas prices in Kentucky during the past week, prices yesterday were 46.1 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 24.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

The national average has decreased 14.6 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 52.7 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

In the Lakes Area, prices are ranging from $1.83 to $1.99 a gallon.
