Mr. Fred High, age 74, of Benton, KY died on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his residence. Born Thursday, May 21, 1942, he retired from Westlake Chemical as an operator, was a member of the Army Reserves and a member at Christian Fellowship Church. Mr. High is survived by his wife Martha Alice (Shepherd) Thompson High of Benton, KY; step-sons Randy Thompson wife Faye Lynn of Athens, AL, Kerry Thompson wife Doris of Elizabethtown, KY; step-daughter Vicki Tynes husband Brooks of Benton, KY; niece Jennie Powers; great-niece Gabrielle Maynard; 4 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. Mr. High was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Powers. His parents were the late Marvin High and the late Virginia (Terry) High. A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025, Rev. James Keeling officiating. Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
