ANNA, Ill. – The Calvert City Orange Waves Swim Team competed in their first meet of the summer at Anna, IL on Thursday in a duel meet with the Anna Blue Dolphins. The Orange Waves are under the direction of first-year Head Coach Melvin Gordon and Assistant Coach Austin Gordon. Both have been a part of the Orange Waves and Marshall County High School programs for many years and Austin a former swimmer.
The team was in the pool in competition Saturday at Herrin, IL, then continue through mid-July with eight more meets. The meet schedule is as follows:
