He was additionally served with a Hopkins District Court bench warrant Thursday evening for failure to appear on a separate traffic offense, and remains incarcerated.
Drug Charges at Lyon County High School
A drug complaint from school staff Thursday led SRO Deputy Jason Young to cite two students for marijuana possession. William Nichols, 18, of Kuttawa was found with marijuana vapes and related items and was formally charged and dismissed from school. A 15-year-old female student was also found in possession of marijuana vapes, charged accordingly, and released to a parent or guardian.
