(BENTON, Ky.) — First Baptist Church will continue its cherished tradition of serving a complimentary Christmas dinner to the community on December 25, marking the 17th consecutive year of the event.

The annual celebration, which began in 2008, typically welcomes approximately 450 guests each Christmas Day. The church opens its doors to anyone seeking fellowship, a home-cooked meal, or simply a place to celebrate the holiday.

“The First Baptist Church wants to make sure you can celebrate on Christmas Day – this special holiday,” organizers said in their announcement. The event is designed for those whose families may be far away, individuals who find meal preparation challenging, or anyone looking to share in community spirit on Christmas.

Traditional Holiday Feast

Guests can expect a complete holiday spread featuring ham, turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, and a variety of homemade desserts. The meal will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the church gymnasium, located at 10th and Main Street in Benton.

Delivery Service Available

For homebound community members living within five miles of downtown Benton, the church offers complimentary meal delivery. Those requiring delivery must contact the church office at 270-527-7575 by December 22 to arrange the service.

The event promises more than just a meal, with organizers emphasizing the music, fellowship, and warm atmosphere that accompanies the gathering.
