
(MURRAY, Ky.) – The Marshall County Lady Marshals punched their ticket to the 4th District Volleyball Tournament championship match Tuesday night with a straight-set victory over the Christian Fellowship Lady Eagles at Murray High School’s Tiger Gym.
Marshall County controlled the match from start to finish, posting a 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, and 25-14. The Lady Marshals showcased their tournament experience and consistency, never allowing Christian Fellowship to gain momentum in any of the three sets.
With the victory, Marshall County improved their season record to 18-5 and will now face rival Calloway County (17-14) for the district championship tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Tiger Gym in Murray.
The championship matchup tonight in Tiger Gym at 6:00 p.m. features two familiar foes who have already met twice during the regular season. Marshall County swept both previous encounters with identical 3-0 victories, establishing themselves as the team to beat in the district.
