Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Reports Multiple Arrests, Theft Investigation

(EDDYVILLE, Ky.) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has released details on several incidents and arrests that occurred over the past week.

Furniture Theft Under Investigation

Chief Deputy Sam Adams is investigating a significant theft reported on Saturday, October 4, 2025. A Kuttawa resident reported that furniture valued at approximately $5,000 was stolen from a home near Suwanee sometime between August and October of this year.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the theft to contact them at 270-388-2311.

Golf Cart Accident Injures Juvenile

Deputy Bobby Beeler and other first responders were called to a golf cart accident on Holiday Hills Drive on Saturday evening, October 4, just before 6 p.m.

According to the investigation, Sharon Carlton, 33, of Macedonia, Illinois, was operating a rented golf cart when the right wheels left the roadway. Carlton lost control of the vehicle, which traveled up an embankment and overturned.

A juvenile female passenger was transported by Lyon County EMS to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. Three other occupants were uninjured.

Multiple Drug-Related Arrests

On Monday, October 6, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Aaron M. Stuart, 32, of Dawson Springs in Eddyville around 12:30 p.m. Stuart was served with a Lyon Circuit Court indictment warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Two days later, on Wednesday, October 8, deputies arrested Ashley Belcher, 40, of Neon, on two Letcher Circuit Court indictment warrants. One warrant charged her with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia possession offenses, while the second warrant was for theft of services under $1,000 and second-degree criminal mischief. Belcher is awaiting extradition back to Letcher County.

DUI-Related Bench Warrant Arrest

On Friday afternoon, October 10, around 4:45 p.m., Deputy Josh Travis arrested Nathan T. Hall, 40, of Eddyville, on a Lyon District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on a DUI-related case. Hall was also lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
