(CALLOWAY COUNTY) – A single-vehicle crash Thursday evening claimed the life of a Murray man and left a juvenile passenger seriously injured.
Zachary Rayburn, 41, of Murray, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision in the 4400 block of Pottertown Road, according to authorities.
Deputies responded to the crash just after 6:00 p.m. on October 10. Investigators determined that Rayburn’s GMC Sierra left the roadway to the left before striking a cement culvert and ditch.
A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was airlifted from the scene to a Nashville hospital with injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
