(PADUCAH, Ky.) — Residents should prepare for wet conditions as rain returns to the region to kick off the new work week.
Meteorologists are forecasting steady rainfall beginning Monday, with precipitation expected to continue through Tuesday night. The two-day weather system could deliver between one and two inches of rain across the Paducah area.
Relief appears to be on the way by midweek, however. Following Tuesday night’s rainfall, a shift in weather patterns will usher in cooler, drier air more typical for this time of year.
Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time during the rainy period and to exercise caution on wet roadways. Residents should also secure any outdoor items that could be affected by the incoming weather system.
The return to seasonal conditions later in the week should provide a welcome break from the precipitation.
