(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) – The Marshall County Marshals celebrated senior night in style Tuesday evening, defeating the Mayfield Cardinals 3-1 in a hard-fought contest at home.
The Marshals controlled the match despite facing determined resistance from a scrappy Mayfield squad that refused to go down easily.
Scoring Summary
Senior Ethan Upton led the offensive charge for Marshall County, finding the back of the net once and contributing two assists for a three-point night. Junior Maddox Schroader also made his mark on the scoresheet with a goal and an assist, while junior Davis Hunt added a goal of his own.
Junior Brayden York rounded out the scoring effort with an assist, and senior Braden Burnham contributed one assist as well.
Defensive Effort
Between the pipes, junior goalkeeper Carson Lovett turned in a solid performance, making 11 saves while allowing just one goal to secure the victory for the Marshals.
