BENTON, Ky. (Aug. 25, 2025) – A portion of KY 1445/Dogtown Road in Marshall County will be temporarily closed Tuesday while crews perform essential drainage work.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Marshall County Highway Maintenance Crew will close the roadway between mile markers 1.25 and 1.94 beginning at 7:30 a.m. on August 26. The affected area spans from Fulks Road to Slaughter Road.
Highway crews will install a replacement cross drain during the closure. Officials anticipate the project will wrap up by 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, assuming favorable weather conditions.
Drivers who regularly use this route should plan alternative paths, as no official detour will be provided. The transportation cabinet is asking motorists to find their own way around the work zone.
The temporary closure is part of ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure proper roadway drainage in the area.
