(MURRAY, Ky.)-A Calloway County resident faces sentencing next month following her admission of guilt to serious criminal charges. On Friday, Crimson Jackson entered guilty pleas in Calloway County Circuit Court for murder, strangulation, and burglary.

The charges stem from a December 5th incident where Jackson reportedly broke into a local woman’s residence. According to Murray Police Department reports, Jackson attacked the homeowner using both a knife and manual strangulation in what authorities describe as an attempted homicide. Police investigators also allege that Jackson sought to steal cash from the victim during the assault.

The court has set Jackson’s sentencing hearing for September 15th, where she will learn her punishment for the violent crimes.
