Shane Lynn Lyman, age 45, of Benton, Kentucky; formerly of Clinton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Shane was born in Mayfield, Kentucky, on June 28, 1980.  He was of the Baptist faith and attended Twin Lakes Worship Center.  Shane was a member of the Iron Workers Local 782 and worked in construction with Darnell Steel. Shane’s willingness to help others knew no bounds, and his unmatched work ethic was only rivaled by the love he held for his family, particularly his beloved son, Aidan.

Beginning his career in construction, Shane quickly made a name for himself not only for his skills but also for his commitment to his colleagues and his trade. His years of work were marked by the many friendships he forged and the countless projects that stood as proof of his determination and expertise.

Beyond the construction site, Shane was a man of many passions. He was often seen riding his cherished Harley-Davidson, a symbol of the freedom he loved to embrace. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and horseback riding when he was younger.  Shane also loved sports growing up, particularly baseball and basketball.

Shane is survived by his son, Aidan Lyman of Clinton; his parents, Kathleen Lyman Grubbs and Randy Grubbs of Clinton; a sister, Alisha (Chad) Boaz of Clinton; a step-brother, Scott Grubbs of Clinton; beloved nieces and nephews, Laken Grubbs, Carly Boaz, Kady Boaz and Connor Boaz; six uncles, Jerry Lyman, John Lyman, Kevin Lyman, Mike Lyman, Gary Lyman, and Charles McDaniel; two aunts, Patricia Burgess and Betty Green; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Burgess.
