Charles Wayne Amis, 84 of Calvert City, KY passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at his home.
Born Friday, August 23, 1940 in Paducah, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Wayne Amis and the late Eula Mae (Howe) Burgess.
Charles retired as a tow boat pilot for Walker Towing. He enjoyed fishing and watching UK Basketball.
He is survived by his son, Martin Amis wife Tracey of West Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Ryan Amis wife Jasmine, Makayla Rodriguez husband George; niece Tonia Allen of Benton, KY; nephew, Mark Gifford wife Tiffany of Cadiz, KY; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Ricky Amis; brothers, Jerry D. Amis, James A. Amis; and sister, Doris Fletcher.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Salyers Cemetery with Bro. Mickey Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service.
There will be no public visitation.
