
He was a member of Pottsville Church of Christ, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of American Legion Post # 26 and a retired employee of C. C. Metals and Alloys in Calvert City, KY. He was also a retired U.S. Army veteran having served with the 101st Airborne.
Mr. Flood is survived by one son, Monty (Kim) Glisson of Paducah, KY; two daughters, Brandi Flood and Gina Hobbs both of Mayfield, KY; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Erica) McReynolds, Shelby (Taylor) Strong, Abby (Mitch) Dumas, Sidney (Tyler) Moore, Daylen Jackson, Josh (Natalie) Mayfield and Paige (Rob) Clark; and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy C. Jones Flood; two brothers, Gene Flood and Charles Flood; one son-in-law, Keith Hobbs; and his parents, Hollie and Allie Drowns Flood.
Graveside services for Mr. Robert A. Flood will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Highland Park Cemetery. Interment will follow. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
