She was of the Christian faith and a retired cake decorator with Food Giant. Jill was born and raised in Northleach, England coming to the United States in 1960.
Jill is survived by one son, Richard E. Rogers of Louisiana; two daughters, Amanda Miller of Lone Oak, KY and Elizabeth (Carey) Hendricks of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Geoffrey Blackwell of England; two brothers-in-law, Ed Rogers of Mayfield, KY and Ezra “Junior” Rogers of Rockledge, FL; one sister-in-law, Peggy Rogers of Hickory, KY; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Rogers of Lone Oak, KY; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel Miller, Jeremy Turner, Gunner Reed, Lacey Rogers, Devin Rogers, Payton Hendricks Fiduk and Jacob Hendricks; five great grandchildren, Hailey Puckett, Caleb Turner, Jackson Turner, Nolan Wolberton-Reed, Karter Childers and Gabe Fiduk; and her beloved fur babies, Izzy and K.K.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby R. Rogers; one granddaughter, Jessica Rogers Puckett; one grandson, Adam Miller; one brother, Peter (Laurine) Blackwell; one sister, Marjorie Carter; one brother-in-law, Bob Rogers; two sisters-in-law, Nolie Rogers and Margaret Rogers; her mother-in-law, Lettie Glover; and her parents, Hubert and Vera Priest Blackwell.
A memorial visitation for Ms. Gillian “Jill” Vera Lynn Blackwell Rogers will be 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
